Born in Belarus, I’ve been living in the Netherlands since I was eight. With parents from different backgrounds, I’ve grown up with a mix of cultures. As a teenager, I’m navigating the ups and downs of growing up while balancing two different cultures. At home, I switch between speaking Belarusian and Dutch. Being autistic, I see the world in my own unique way, often noticing things others might miss.

    Uncharted waters

    They call it puppy love, as if we’re just a fleeting dream,but we’re the ocean, vast and deep, beyond their simple, narrow stream. They draw us with their clumsy hands, in sketches that don’t capture light.We are the storm, the calm, the endless sands, a love that stretches through the night. Each year another ripple, in the sea of time we’ve sailed.Their voices, just the wind’s faint cripple, they cannot see how we’ve prevailed.
