We’re sharing an important update about Stanisław (Staś), who’s been a key contributor to Calmth. As of today, he’ll no longer be writing for Calmth or Wroth. This decision comes from our collective support for his creative independence, especially as he prepares to share deeply personal poetry that reflects his experiences.
Yesterday, with Staś’s adoptive siblings (Aleksander, Ilya, Katarzyna), Calmth co-founder Nyo, and myself, we launched Mute Doodle Den – a dedicated platform for Staś’s writing. We’ve secured the domain and hosting for a full year, ensuring he has a stable space to share his work without constraints. After setup, we removed all administrative accounts, leaving Staś as the sole owner.
This move centers on Staś’s upcoming poem, which addresses traumatic experiences and complex family dynamics. He’s hesitated to share it, fearing it might impact his adoptive parents (including Vadim, Calmth’s other co-founder). We believe his voice deserves priority – his feelings matter most, and we want him to express freely without self-censorship.
Staś isn’t just a temporary writer; he dreams of becoming a professional author. His published works – spanning personal reflections, political commentary, and beyond – already showcase remarkable depth. His unpublished pieces explore broader themes, as noted in the About page we created for Mute Doodle Den, while staying true to his raw, unfiltered style.
What this means:
- Follow Staś’s journey: Mute Doodle Den
- Stay updated: We’ll continue sharing his poetry via Calmth’s X and Bluesky
This transition celebrates Staś’s growth. We’re excited to see his voice thrive in a space that prioritizes his needs above all else.
