Introducing our authors: Emeryk Nowak

Hello everyone! It’s about time I introduce myself properly. I’m Emeryk, and since earlier this year, I’ve been the social media manager for this blog. I’m also one of the blog’s authors, though I don’t post as often as the others. Let me tell you a bit about myself.

That boy in the photo is me. I’m a Polish kid, but I don’t quite fit the blue-eyed, blonde stereotype some people might expect. I come from Stargard (or Stargard Szczeciński, as some still call it) in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship of Poland. My life is pretty typical – I have an older brother, and we’re raised by our single dad.

My connection to this blog comes from my love for the arts. I play the French horn and piano, but what’s most relevant here is that I do ballroom dancing. You might have heard this before because Aleksander does it too. We met at an event, started talking, and exchanged contact info. That turned into a friendship, with Aleks starting his blog and me helping out sometimes. Later, I was asked if I wanted to help with this blog’s social media.

What else? Well, my favorite animals are mice, just like Vladislav. I can speak several languages besides Polish and English, mostly because my family travels a lot. No tengo problema en hablar en otros idiomas si es necesario. Faktisk kan jeg gøre det selv når der ikke er behov for det. Aber ehrlich gesagt, wen interessiert es wirklich, dass ich das kann? In fin dei conti, è comunque solo un semplice trucco.

Oh, and like all our authors, I’m autistic. I prefer to call it awkwardness though, as it feels less intimidating to me. That’s pretty much it. You’ll mostly see me managing our social media and responding to comments when needed. Maybe I’ll write some posts too, we’ll see!

I believe the future is in our own hands – that’s how I look at life. I’m excited to be part of this blog and to interact with all of you. Feel free to say hi or ask questions. Let’s make this a great place for everyone!
