Once upon a time, in a land made of sweets,
where the rivers ran syrup and the trees were all treats,
there lived a young girl with a heart full of glee,
who loved nothing more than some candy to eat.
She’d skip and she’d hop through the candy cane lanes,
and she’d twirl and she’d dance in the gumdrop rain.
She’d nibble on chocolate; she’d slurp up some fudge,
and she’d gobble up gummies until she couldn’t budge.
She’d climb up the licorice ropes to the sky,
and she’d slide down the rainbow, oh my, oh my!
She’d munch on some lollipops; she’d chew on some gum,
and she’d giggle and laugh until her belly was numb.
But one day, oh no, the candy ran out,
the girl was distraught, she began to pout.
She searched high and low, she looked left and right,
but no candy was found, not a single sight.
She sat down and cried, her tears filled with sorrow,
for she feared that she wouldn’t see candy tomorrow.
But then a voice whispered, “Don’t you be blue,
for I have a plan that will help you through.”
The girl looked up, and what did she see?
A candy fairy, as sweet as can be!
The fairy smiled and said with a wink,
“I’ll take you on a magical candy brink.”
The fairy led her through a candy land door,
and the girl’s eyes widened with wonder galore.
There were candy mountains and candy seas,
and candy creatures as far as she could see.
The fairy said, “Take all that you need,
for this is your land, your candy-filled deed.”
The girl grinned from ear to ear,
and filled up her pockets with candy so dear.
And so she lived happily ever after,
with candy in her heart and in her laughter.
For in this land of sweets, where anything goes,
the girl had found her sweetest of all homes.
