Pod perfect love

A tiny green pea named Pete, lived so high,
on a fuzzy green pod in the vast veggie sky.
He watched plump Miss Bean,
with a blush most obscene,
and dreamt of confessing, “I think you’re quite spry!”

His heart, a wee sprout, did a nervous little jig,
as dewdrop tears rolled down his fuzzy green twig.
He practiced his speech,
with a squeak and a screech,
“You’re rounder and sweeter than fig!”

One breezy spring day, Pete mustered his might,
and wobbled down low, on a spider silk kite.
He landed with plop,
in Miss Bean’s soft crop,
and blurted, “I love you! Would you be my green light?”

Miss Bean, quite surprised, giggled soft as a chime,
“A pea on a vine? What a notion sublime!”
But then, to his glee,
she whispered, “You see,
I’ve fancied you too, for quite some pea-time!”

So Pete and Miss Bean, in their pod up so high,
pived happily ever after, beneath the blue sky.
A love story so true,
for a pea and a bean, too,
can blossom and bloom, way up where clouds fly.
