[Poetry] Family love

There’s a decreasing understanding of the value of family love. There’s too much of an expectation for family to always be there. As someone who lost most of his biological family but still has family due to adoption, I know how fragile family truly is. I really wish people would start to understand the importance of family again. Being together is a lot more valuable than many can imagine.

My poem:

In a cozy little house, there lived a happy clan,
a family so dear, with love as their plan.
Mom baked cookies every day,
dad would tickle and play,
and the children would giggle, oh how life began!

Little Casper had a pet, a mischievous little pup,
they’d run and chase and never ever give up.
Sister Sophia loved to dance,
in her tutu, she’d prance.
With laughter and joy, their hearts were filled up.

They’d gather around the table for a meal,
sharing stories and dreams, it was such a big deal.
Brother Billy would tell a joke,
making everyone choke.
With laughter and love, the family would heal.

Grandma would visit, bringing tales from the past,
of adventures and wisdom that would forever last.
Grandpa, so wise and kind,
would teach them to unwind.
With hugs and kisses, their love would be vast.

In the backyard, they’d play games all day long,
hide and seek, tag, and sing a joyful song.
Their love knew no bounds,
in their laughter, love resounds.
A family united, where they truly belong.

Through the ups and downs, their love grew strong,
through tears and smiles, they’d always get along.
With hugs and kisses, they’d say,
“We’ll be there come what may!”
Their bond, unbreakable, forever lifelong.

So let’s celebrate the love of family, so true,
in their company, all troubles they’d subdue.
With laughter and joy,
each girl and each boy.
A family’s love, a treasure to pursue.
